it so cold outside!

(i wrote this as an email to a friend, and then decide it would make for a good blog entry as well)

i've got some serious cabin fever. we've been stuck inside all weekend, snow and ice outside. ugh. what a great last weekend. (note the sarcasm). i guess in a way it's been good, cuz i've been able to spend time with my family before i go.

we all went for a walk in the snow today - imagine my mom (nearly 60 years old), looking like a big snowball in her puffy white down jacket, sledding down the driveway. when the street levelled out, the runners on the front of the sled caught in the snow, and my mom pitched forward, face-first into the snow. it was such an "america's funniest home video" moment. Afterwards we played scramble, and my mom made pancakes for dinner. It was fun.

anyway, i bored, so i'm rambling. hopefully, tomorrow will be sunny, and melt the ice. i still have things i need to get done, not to mention driving to dallas on tuesday to catch my flight.
