my email to sarah tonight:
"holy smokes.
Petty Cash and their famous friends.
First two members of Suffrajett got up and sang a song with them.
THEN Butch Walker got up and sang a song with them (He's so cute, and my new band boy crush)
THEN motherfuckin PINK got on stage and sang "Freefalling." Later in the evening I accidentally elbowed her in the stomach as she walked by me. She said "sorry", I said "sorry", she said "sorry" again. Having completely turned around to apolgize by this point I saw who it was and said "sorry, sorry sorry!", while attempting to remain cool.
And to top it off, the singer of Petty Cash is also in H20 and is really hot. (i was probably most excited about this, although my attempt to talk to him did not go as smoothly as i would have liked).
It was pretty cool.
I would guess the downstairs capacity to be about 100.... E and I were practically standing on the stage.
Oh yah, the bass player from K's band used to be in Red Animal War - and he recognized me!....kinda.
don't be sad you missed it, we'll do it again."
this video of PINK is from my crappy phone... but it's all I got.

Bicycling for Mike
Today was the benefit ride for Mike Vincent, organized by the LA FIxed guys. I think I heard about 150 people showed up, and we rode about 24 miles thru LA. It was great. I've never done a bike ride with such a big group, and it was fun filling up the streets, running lights, and making the cars wait on us. The guys and girls that do these ride regularly have a good system down, to make sure everyone stays together and is safe. It was a fairly easy ride, a slow pace with lots of rest stops (almost too many). After the ride there was a raffle that more people showed up for.
All in all, I think about $2300.00 was raised through raffle tickets, tshirt and spoke card sales.
I'm gonna be sore tomorrow.

do i qualify for unemployment yet?
well, the show hasn't been cancelled yet - but it did get pushed a month. last night the post crew were all called in for a meeting, and we were all temporarily "let go". our boss did take us out for dinner and drinks - our severance package I suppose. so I'm back to where i started - jobless.
at least i made a bit of cash - which i'll need this week in Austin at sxsw. sarah and I are also thinking about going snowboarding next week.

Here ya go Mom. :)
It's been quite a while since I've posted anything - I guess it just seems like life is back to normal, and doesn't really warrant regular blogging. Ironically, I've received 3 journals as gifts this year, so I guess somebody thinks I need to be writing down my life.
Quick rundown of the last 2 months:
I arrived in Los Angeles on New Year's eve - Sarah and I were hoping being in LA would make the New Year more exciting - but it didn't.
Sarah hired me for a few days on Celebrity Fit Club. I worked as a production PA and an art dept. PA. It was kinda fun and I made enough money to allow my to be unemployed for the next month.
On Jan 18, our roommate Mike got hit by a car while riding his bike to work - He's been in the hospital since with brain trauma - so mine and Sarah's month off pretty much consisted of hanging out at the hospital everyday. We didn't get to go snowboarding, or travel anywhere - oh well. We saved some money I guess,
Birthday - nothing exciting.
Now I've started a new job working as a Post PA for a reality show for CBS - hopefully it won't get cancelled and I'll have a job thru May. Then maybe New Zealand?
I working on a video of my trip to Iceland - maybe I'll eventually finish it, and can post it here.
